Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement

In light of the issues globally regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak Nutraceuticals would like to inform our customers of the below:

  1. Coronavirus is a family of viruses which is believed to be solely transmitted via respiratory pathways and does not survive for extended periods of time on food or surfaces outside the body. There is believed to be no risk from foodborne contamination – our QA department is assessing the latest science on a frequent basis and is in routine contact with all of our Chinese partners and ones across the world.
  2. Nutraceuticals, like all food ingredient suppliers and manufacturers, have ingredients produced globally and due to the current controls in place in a number of countries there have naturally been some delays on shipments however due to the stock holding we have, our customers are protected and insulated from this disruption as much as possible.
  3. We have noticed that some in the market have taken this opportunity to raise ingredient prices to unrealistic levels on local EU stock – We as a company refuse to take part in such profiteering and will protect our customers from the current situation as best we can.

The situation with Coronavirus is extremely fluid and as part of our QA and logistics policy Nutraceuticals will continue to monitor the direction of travel, taking into account official advice and recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), Department of Health and Social Care (UK), Public Health England, US FDA and EFSA for the benefit and protection of our customers.

Whilst the disruption due COVID-19 is unfortunate, the delays experienced are not just food related but across all industries worldwide – we want encourage calmness in the current situation and can assure you that our team are working diligently to ensure as smooth a flow of goods and services to our customers as possible.
